Jeff's mom, Elaine, found a posting on the internet of some of the prettiest and most amazing places on Earth. One of them is Giethoorn. Giethoorn literally means goat horn and the town is named for the many horns that were dug up as the peat was harvested from the bogs. We called it paradise on our journey through the northern provinces of The Netherlands.

There are no streets in Giethoorn proper,only canals.
In April, it is quiet and extremely peaceful.
