Pisa, Italy

Well, that about sums it up!

The famous bell tower began leaning when they put the 5th tier on.  They must have had Italian Lira in their eyes because they knowingly kept building!  Until the late 1990's the tower leaned 5.5 degrees.  Then seeing Euros and wanting to preserve them, they did some structural work and corrected the lean to only 4 degrees.
I suppose this was "just enough"?

The town itself straddles a river and is fairly unassuming.  They do have an airport that we used to return to Eindhoven.  The end of another European Adventure!
